Only schools accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES show "Request information", and your request goes to that school. We may get paid for it. Links in other rows go to each school's website. No school pays to get listed or to move up. We used IPEDS 2023-24 (prices and graduates) plus the CAAHEP and ABHES directories.

Accreditation, prices and graduates: how to read this list
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself was checked and approved by CAAHEP. Once you finish, you can take the CMA exam and become a Certified Medical Assistant.
ABHES-accredited school
The whole school gets approval from ABHES. Don't assume the CMA exam is open to you; ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered as well.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
Neither organization lists the school for medical assisting, but that does not mean the school is bad. Another agency might still accredit the college itself. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam, while the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also allow other paths like work experience.
Price
Each school reports its own 2023-24 tuition and fees, with books and supplies whenever the school lists them. The figure covers the whole program, or a year of full-time classes (the local-student rate at public colleges). If the school charges by the year, one yearly rate applies to each award on its list.
Graduates
These are students who completed their program between July 2023 and June 2024. Cost and graduate numbers come from IPEDS, an annual survey that the U.S. Department of Education runs.
