Only schools CAAHEP or ABHES accredits show "Request information", which sends your details to them; we may get paid. You will find links to the official sites of schools in the other rows. No school pays to get listed or move higher. Sources: IPEDS 2023-24 (prices and graduates) plus directories from CAAHEP and ABHES.

How to read this list: look at accreditation, prices, and graduates.
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself has been checked and approved by CAAHEP. Finishing the program lets you take the CMA exam and earn Certified Medical Assistant status.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES gives approval to the entire school. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too before you count on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
Neither group lists this school for medical assisting, but that does not judge the school itself. Another agency may still accredit the college. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam; RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also take other paths like work experience.
Price
For 2023-24, each school reports tuition and fees plus books and supplies when available, for the whole program or one year of full-time classes (local student rate at public colleges). Each award the school lists shares the same yearly price.
Graduates
This covers students completing their studies from July 2023 through June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs a yearly survey called IPEDS that supplies prices and graduates.
