CertificateCAAHEP (program)Ask the school for the price–Request information

You see "Request information" only where CAAHEP or ABHES accredits the school; we send your request there and may get paid. The other rows go to each school's own website instead. No school pays to get listed or move up. Data comes from CAAHEP and ABHES directories plus IPEDS 2023-24 figures for graduates and prices.

This list shows accreditation, prices and graduates; here is how to read it
CAAHEP-accredited program
CAAHEP approved the medical assisting program itself after checking it. Once you finish it, you can take the CMA exam, which is how you become a Certified Medical Assistant.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES approves the entire school. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too before you count on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
Neither group lists this school for medical assisting, and that is no judgment of the school. Another agency can still accredit the college itself. A CAAHEP or ABHES program is required for the CMA exam; other routes like work experience also work for the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams.
Price
Reported by each school, these 2023-24 figures cover tuition and fees plus books and supplies when listed, for the whole program or one year of full-time classes (local rate at public colleges). Each award a school lists shares the same yearly price.
Graduates
These students completed their programs between July 2023 and June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs the yearly IPEDS survey that provided these graduate and price figures.
