"Request information" shows up only on schools CAAHEP or ABHES accredits; it sends your request to that school, and we may be paid. The other rows take you to the website of the school. No school pays to get listed or moved up. Data comes from IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus CAAHEP and ABHES lists.

Accreditation, prices and graduates: here is how to read this list.
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself was checked and approved by CAAHEP. Graduates can take the CMA exam to earn the Certified Medical Assistant title.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES gives approval to the entire school. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too before you count on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
Medical assisting is not listed for the school by either group; this does not judge the school. Another agency might still accredit the college itself. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam, while the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also allow other paths like work experience.
Price
These are tuition and fees for 2023-24, including books and supplies if the school lists them, reported as either the whole program cost or one year of full-time classes (the local student rate at public colleges). Each award the school lists has the same yearly price.
Graduates
These are students who completed their studies between July 2023 and June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs IPEDS, a yearly survey providing our prices and graduate counts.
