Only schools accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES display "Request information", which sends your request to them; we may get paid for it. Each remaining row links you to that school's website. No school pays for inclusion in the list or a higher position. Sources: IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus the CAAHEP and ABHES directories.

How to understand accreditation, prices and graduates in this list
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program is checked and approved directly by CAAHEP After completing the program, you can take the CMA exam to earn the Certified Medical Assistant title.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES accredits the school as a whole. Before you rely on the CMA exam, check with the school whether the medical assisting program is covered too.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
For medical assisting, neither of these groups lists the school, and that isn't a judgment on the school. Another agency may still accredit the college. A CAAHEP or ABHES program is required for the CMA exam, while the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams accept other routes, including work experience.
Price
Each school reports its 2023-24 tuition and fees for the whole program or one year of full-time classes. Books and supplies are included when listed. For public colleges, the reported yearly rate applies to local students. Each award a school lists has the same yearly price.
Graduates
These are students who finished from July 2023 through June 2024. The prices and graduate counts come from IPEDS, the yearly survey run by the U.S. Department of Education.
