The "Request information" option appears only for schools accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES. It sends your request to that school, and we may be paid for it. For every other school, the link leads to that school's website. No school pays for a listing or for a higher position. Source data: IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus directories from CAAHEP and ABHES.

Reading guide: accreditation, prices and graduates
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself has been checked and approved by CAAHEP. Finishing it qualifies you to take the CMA exam, which lets you become a Certified Medical Assistant.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES accredits the school as a whole. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too before you count on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
For medical assisting, neither of the two groups includes the school, and this isn't a judgment about the school. Another agency may still accredit the college itself. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam; other routes, including work experience, work for the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams.
Classes online
Your coursework is online. Clinical hours are always completed on site, at a clinic or the school.
Price
For 2023-24, each school reports its tuition and fees. Books and supplies are included when the school lists them. Amounts cover the whole program or a single year of full-time classes, using the local student rate at public colleges. Each award listed by a school has the same yearly price.
Graduates
This covers students who finished from July 2023 to June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs a yearly survey called IPEDS, which provides prices and graduate numbers.
