DiplomaCAAHEP (program)Ask the school for the price–Request information

"Request information" shows up only for schools CAAHEP or ABHES accredits. It sends your request to that school, and we may get paid. The other rows link to the school website. No school pays to appear here or move up. We used IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus directories from CAAHEP and ABHES.

Understanding this list: graduates, prices and accreditation.
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself was checked and approved by CAAHEP. Once you finish it, you can take the CMA exam, which is how you become a Certified Medical Assistant.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES gives approval to the entire school. Before you rely on the CMA exam, ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
The school appears on neither list for medical assisting, but that outcome is not a verdict on the school. Another agency might still accredit the college itself. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam, while the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also allow other paths like work experience.
Price
These are tuition and fees for 2023-24, including books and supplies if the school lists them, reported as either the whole program cost or one year of full-time classes (the local student rate at public colleges). For each award the school lists, the yearly price stays the same.
Graduates
These are students who completed their program between July 2023 and June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs a yearly survey called IPEDS, which provides the prices and graduate counts.
