You will see "Request information" only on schools with CAAHEP or ABHES accreditation; we send your request to that school and may get paid. The other rows take you straight to the school website. No school pays us to appear here or to move up the list. Sources: IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus directories from CAAHEP and ABHES.

Accreditation, prices and graduates: how to read this list.
CAAHEP-accredited program
CAAHEP has reviewed and given approval to the medical assisting program itself. To become a Certified Medical Assistant, people who finish it may take the CMA exam.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES gives approval to the entire school. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered too before you count on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
For medical assisting, neither group lists the school; this is not a verdict on the school. Another agency might still accredit the college. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam, while the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also allow other paths like work experience.
Classes held online
While coursework is online, you must complete clinical hours in person at the school or a clinic.
Price
These figures show tuition and fees for 2023-24, including books and supplies when listed, reported as either the whole program cost or one year of full-time classes for local public college students. For each award the school lists, the yearly price remains the same.
Graduates
These students finished between July 2023 and June 2024. IPEDS, a yearly survey from the U.S. Department of Education, provided the prices and graduate counts.
