Only schools CAAHEP or ABHES accredits show "Request information". That link sends your request to the school, and we may receive payment. The remaining rows send you to each school's site. No school pays for a listing or to move up. Data comes from IPEDS 2023-24 for prices and graduates, plus directories from CAAHEP and ABHES.

Accreditation, prices and graduates: here is how to read the list.
CAAHEP-accredited program
The medical assisting program itself has been checked and approved by CAAHEP. If you finish, you can take the CMA exam and become a Certified Medical Assistant.
ABHES-accredited school
ABHES gives approval to the entire school. Ask the school if its medical assisting program is covered as well before you rely on the CMA exam.
Not CAAHEP or ABHES
The school is not listed by either group for medical assisting; this is not a verdict on it. Another agency might still accredit the college itself. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam; the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams also allow other paths like work experience.
Price
For 2023-24, see tuition and fees as schools report them, plus books and supplies when listed: for the whole program or one year of full-time classes (local rate at public colleges). Each award a school lists shares the same yearly price.
Graduates
These are students who completed their studies between July 2023 and June 2024. The U.S. Department of Education runs IPEDS, a yearly survey providing our price and graduate data.
