- CAAHEP-accredited program
- CAAHEP checked and gave approval to the medical assisting program itself. Those who complete it may take the CMA exam and become a Certified Medical Assistant.
- ABHES-accredited school
- ABHES approves the entire school. Before you rely on the CMA exam, ask the school if its medical assisting program is included.
- Not CAAHEP or ABHES
- Neither group includes the school on its medical assisting list, but that does not judge the school. A different agency may still accredit the college. You need a CAAHEP or ABHES program for the CMA exam, but the RMA, CCMA and NCMA exams allow other routes like work experience.
- Price
- Each school reports its 2023-24 tuition and fees, including books and supplies if listed, either as a whole program cost or a yearly rate for full-time local students at public colleges. Each award the school lists has the same yearly price.
- Graduates
- These are the students who completed their studies between July 2023 and June 2024. We get prices and graduate numbers from IPEDS, an annual survey run by the U.S. Department of Education.
